The functionality of this feature in Tri Force Heroes may be a huge selling point for gamers like myself who are on the fence about purchasing the game. Now, obviously I’m a huge Zelda fan, however, I’m a bit torn on actually picking up this game until I can try it out myself. I’ve had every iteration of the 3DS, but I’ve never used Download Play. That being said, if you do not own a copy of the game, Download Play will actually save a copy of your gameplay data, including any resources and outfits crafted, and will transfer right over to your own copy of the game once you pick it up. You can team up during the three-player campaign mode but, unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in the PvP zone dubbed ‘The Coliseum’. The best thing about Download Play and Tri Force Heroes is that you’ll be able to play with friends who do not own a copy of the game. It’s safe to say that one of the coolest features of the game will be Download Play.

Nintendo 3DS’ UK YouTube page recently uploaded a video that briefly overviews some of the exciting features that we can expect during gameplay. Since the game is due to release at the end of the month, more information is being released about the gameplay of this highly anticipated spin-off. It’s the beginning of October, and that means that Tri Force Heroes is less than a month away.
